Classification of carbon belts: The difference between ribbon mainly depends on their composition, and there are no more than three types: wax based, mixed based, and resin.

1. The characteristic of wax based ribbon is low printing temperature and low cost. It is generally used for printing ordinary copper coated paper and writing paper, but cannot be used for printing materials such as PET and Xiaoyinlong. It has good durability, but poor scratch and high temperature resistance.

2. Mixed base ribbon literally means a mixture of wax and resin, which is more expensive than wax based. It can be used to print general coated paper, coated coated coated paper, molded paper, synthetic paper, etc. It is generally not used to print PET, silver dragon, etc. Its durability and scratch resistance are slightly better than wax based ones.

3. Resin based ribbon is generally not used for printing coated paper, mold application paper, etc., but it can be printed on coated paper after coating. It depends on the material of the coated paper's summer film, and it is usually coated with a light film, which is generally inferior. The purpose of coating is to facilitate printing and improve the appearance. Resin ribbon is mainly used for printing PET, silver dragon, high-temperature paper, etc. Its characteristics are high temperature resistance, solvent resistance, and random wiping resistance. The first and foremost are these two types, including reinforced resin carbon tape, which has similar characteristics to resin ribbon and better weather resistance than general resin ribbon. It is widely used for printing and laminating materials. In addition to the components, carbon belts also have colors. Black and white are the most commonly used, and there are other colors of carbon belts, but those are not widely used, so we won't explain them in detail here.

What is a ribbon? What are the precautions for purchasing carbon belts?

1. Confirm the type of carbon tape, such as the most commonly used Ricoh carbon tape, wax based RX-1, mixed based B110A, resin based B110CR, etc. Perhaps you know which label information is used for printing.

2. Confirm the inner diameter of the carbon tape core, perhaps the type of barcode printer provided, as there are many types of barcode printers, sales personnel sometimes cannot determine whether it is a small or large carbon tape core. If it is unclear, you can use a ruler to measure it.

3. The width of the carbon belt only needs to be in order to save the cost of the carbon belt, and of course, it also needs to be able to be installed on the printer. Most machines nowadays are divided into 2 inches wide, 4 inches, 6 inches, and 8 inches=2.54m. I convert it to ensure that the machine can be installed first, and then it must be suitable for the label you want to print. Generally, you need to choose a label that is 1 centimeter wider than the printed label to effectively maintain the printer's print head.

4. The rolling direction of the carbon tape. Whether the direction of the carbon tape containing toner is rolled in or out, if you don't know, you can test it by tearing a self-adhesive label and sticking the center of the adhesive onto the carbon tape. If there is toner, it will come off, and if there is no toner, there will be no change.

5. Is the axis of the carbon belt the same width as the carbon belt? If not, it should be centered, left, or right. This is usually used by small machines.

6. Do you want the carbon belt to have two bayonets on both ends. Generally, small machines only open the card mouth.
